As we all may know tomorrow, December 18, 2010 is the big day. The DREAM Act passed the House and now it needs to pass the Senate. We need 60 votes to pass cloture. This is the real deal, we need to keep making those phone calls.

DREAM Act Rally Wednesday December 15, 2010 from 4:00 to 5:30PM at the Salem Capitol. Please spread the word, we need everyone to support. Now is the time to take action!

Summer 2010 is here, which means LUS will be doing a lot of fundraising events! Baja Fresh has been very supportive of LUS and will be donating 15% of your purchase to help collect money for trip expenses. This fundraiser will be taking place on July 23rd, 2010 for a whole day at Salem’s Baja Fresh located at 945 Lancaster Dr NE. Come and enjoy great food while you help raise for a great cause.

Also taking place on July 23rd, 2010 will be a car wash. LUS youth will be operating the car wash at the Walgreens drugstore located on 124 Lancaster Dr SE, also in Salem. All donations are welcome.

L.U.S has its yearly retreat to a beach house in Tillamook, Or. Which is taking place from the 14th of November untill the 16th of November. Where we involve many leadership trainings for all the youth. Such as a public speaking traning, that will help the youth let there voice be heard among the community. L.U.S is looking forward for a great retreat, as it has been in previous years!
